Assembling the Advent Date Calendars - Tutorial

What a fun way to count the days to Christmas!  Print and Cut the number cards and change them daily during the Christmas countdown.  You can find them on my Silhouette shop - filter for "Advent" to find them more easily!

Use the print and cut feature to print the numbers.  There are 2 numbers on each card.  Print and cut the December label at the same time.

Separate the elements before you cut them as they are stacked on top of each other to help you with placement.

Fold the base in a zigzag and adhere the flaps for the pocket behind the front of the card.  Fold the solid back up to cover the cut out and glue in place.

Add the extra elements and put the calendar numbers in the pocket for a fun way to track the days to Christmas!

 Merry Christmas!

    1. Hi Vicki! Extra elements just means things that are layered on top of the base structure. I hope that helps!

    1. The hands are separate elements in the file and are simply placed on top of the folded up pocket. If you have problems just contact me through my website and we'll sort it all out!

  4. Hello. I decided to make your cute Happy Santa Advent Calendar today but ran into a problem printing the calendar days for the pocket. It appears the print 'n cut is set for a 12 x 12 page but my printer is only an 8.5 x 11 size. Silhouette would not connect to my printer & the research said it was probably a page incompatibility issue. Is there a work-around for this problem? Thank you, Robin

  5. Hi Robyn! The numbers for the project are 2 separate sets. Each set fits on on a standard 8.5 x 11" page inside the registrations marks. Try ungrouping the two set - just make sure you don't ungroup the cut lines from the numbers! Unless Silhouette processed the project in some different way, this should work! Email me on my website if you continue to have more problems!
