Assembling the Quietfire Heart Boxes

Meet the Quietfire Heart Boxes!

Make these gorgeous heart shaped boxes! Although they were designed with Valentine’s Day in mind, they’d be perfect wedding or anniversary decor. The bottom of the box is open if you want to add a flameless votive to cast awesome shadows or line this box with vellum for a more muted look.  Create a stack of heart boxes using all the Quietfire Heart Boxes.

These heart shaped boxes are available on my Silhouette profile HERE beginning February 5, 2024. (Filter for Heart if you have trouble finding them.)

If you are viewing this as an email update, please go to YouTube to view the assembly video there.

If you have any questions, please contact me through my website as I'm having a big fight with replies in Blogger!!

Happy creating! Suzanne  P.S. The video will be private until the morning of February 5!

Assembling the Quietfire Pizza Box - No Glue!

You know you need one!  Such a happy little box!  After years of using pizza boxes as my main shipping container when I was a retailer, I based this little version on the big version!

There is not a lot of room in it, but maybe that's a good thing if you're filling it with chocolate!

I have a short little video tutorial on how to construct it.  No glue necessary!

And if you have my Pinwheel Pizza Box, first release in 2015, now you have a video tutorial!

To find these boxes, simply filter for "pizza" on my Silhouette profile HERE.
Happy creating! Suzanne

Hearts Window Card/

 Hi Y'all!
Robyn here sharing what happens when everything goes wrong and you just keep going.
I had so much fun with the snowflake window card I asked Suzanne to do hearts!
On the Mat
I had the perfect patterned paper for the card base- and then I punched a hole in it by mistake, so I put a sticker over it, and decided to make it into a shaker card.
The Working Mat
Creating the window frame with acetate, I ran out of the long skinny foam tape and had to piece one long side with 1/8" pop up squares.
Then I put the window on forgetting to add the shaker bits!
Then the light box failed! Still haven't figured that one out, and no matter how I tried, I can't get the lighting to share with you the better parts of this failed( to me) project.
I shared it with my kids, and they fought over it- so there you have it!
They love it when things go wrong.
Be kind to yourselves- keep going- toss it if you must, tho there is a good chance someone will love it!

Supplies:
  • Silhouette Design Store file- Hearts Window Card - #341008
  • Patterned paper
  • Foam Tape
  • Acetate for shaker window
  • Confetti bits for the shaker effect
  • Ribbon

Balloon Heart Monogram

Hi Y'all.
Robyn here riding the wedding vortex!
Ray and Jillian are tying the knot in September and the
Balloon Heart Monogram font
was calling out to me.
The card could be used for save the date, place settings, gift card, thank you gift card, and mirror I love you reminder!

They like simple and elegant- no fuss and if up to Ray, no glitter.
Colors are dark reds and purples and hints of rose gold.

On the mat

The background was made using a mask made from hearts in the
Place the larger heart on the card, and using blender brushes, blend Distress wilted violet.
Remove the larger heart, place the smaller heart and blend Barn door.
Go back and forth a bit, carefully and put a little Delicata gold in the center.
It will blend with the barn door to make a rose gold.

Put the card on the mat and use a  pen to sketch the ampersand. (letter "w")

Cut the monograms-glitz up just a bit with a jelly roll gold pen and glossy accents.
Adhere to the card, adding a clear pop up dot to the balloons for dimension.

Up up and away till the wedding day!

Assembling the Quietfire Love Train

What an adorable addition to your Valentine's Day decorations!  Get the file at the Silhouette Design Store (It's Silhouette ID 287386). Then the fun begins!  Instead of using my colours, go ahead and brighten it up with patterned papers if you wish.

Assembling the train cars:
Fold up all perforated score lines.  Assemble train car boxes with adhesive. Also assemble the 5th box in this step and set aside - it’s for the locomotive. Add decorative strips along the top edges.  Add wheels to the base by lining up the bar between the wheels with the base of the box.  Repeat for all train cars.

Fold letters along the perforated score lines then up and adhere together at the top of the letter.  Attach one letter in each of the train cars.

Assembling the Locomotive:
Fold the locomotive cab along the perforated score lines.  Attach to the previously assembled box by lining up the bottom of the cab with the bottom of the box.  Attach the locomotive wheels with the bar between the wheels lined up with the bottom of the box.  Add the decorative elements as shown.

I've included four rectangles with score lines which can be folded into a U and used to attach the locomotive to the L car and attach the cars to each other if desired.

Fill with candies and enjoy your Love Train!
Happy creating, Suzanne
