Hanging Penguin Box Ornament Lantern

Hey Y'all!
Robyn here.
Need a chuckle? a little light? a quick gift- for yourself or others?
This series fits all that and more.
The box is just one piece and embellishments determine the rest.
Is it an ornament? a lantern? candy dish? place setting decor? Greens arrangement?
Again , all of the above.

Folds flat for mailing if you don't attach the hanging handle.

Assembling the Quietfire Upright Gift Boxes

Meet the new Upright Gift Boxes!  These are all Christmas/Winter themed, but I think you'll see this type of box again!

They're really very easy to cut and assemble.  You can find them on my Silhouette page - just filter my profile using the word "upright".

Here is how you assemble them.

Cut the file in any colour you wish.  Busy patterned papers might be too busy for this box!

Fold along all the long perforated score lines.

The sides folds of the box require a little extra love. They form a "pleat".  Use a ball stylus and ruler to help crease those lines, especially the one that is horizontal when the box is upright.

Don't forget the score lines on the tab.  Those will need to bend, too.

Add adhesive to the side tab and form the box.

Close the bottom of the box.  You may with to add adhesive to this tab, too.

Pinch the side pleats gently, fold the top over and insert the tab into the slot.

Add the included bow on the front or make your own ribbon bow. Fill with a gift or some chocolates, or......?

Happy creating, Suzanne

P.S. You can find them on my Silhouette page - just filter my profile using the word "upright".

Assembling the Christmas Advent Village Houses

What a fun way to celebrate the countdown to Christmas!  Fill each cubbyhole with a chocolate or small gift (dispensers measure approximately 1.75” each).

The full set consists of

Christmas Advent Village 1-5 Candy Canes
Christmas Advent Village 6-10 Forest Rudolph
Christmas Advent Village 11-15 Gingerbread man
Christmas Advent Village 16-20 Snowman
Christmas Advent Village 20-25 Santa
Christmas Advent Village 20-25 Nativity

You can find them at the Silhouette Design Store: http://bit.ly/2oAR9e6 (if you use this link, I *might* get a small commission!) You can always find them by going to my Silhouette page and filtering for 3D Christmas items.

Instructions:

Open the file and separate out all the elements.  A lot will be colour grouped.  Just check to make sure that similarly coloured elements are not overlapped before cutting - such as the roof in 6-10.

Designer Tip: Each drawer has a print and cut label. If you're making the whole set, collect all the print and cut drawer fronts on one Silhouette page and print as many as you can in at once to maximize your printing and minimize your time!

Cut and form all the drawers (cut 5) and stack and adhere them as shown.  Form the house and slide it over the stack of drawers. Add all the layered embellishments.  Collect them all!

For more details on the house construction, please watch the video! If you are receiving this as an email update, click here to go to YouTube: https://youtu.be/oB2roV87WGk
