BRACKET FRAMES SLIM CARD BASE

Hello, crafty friends!

Suzanne designed several slim cards recently. Here is the Bracket Frames Slim Card Base. You have three frames you can fill with anything: stamps, photos, or in my case quilled flowers.

You can find the digital cutting file here: Bracket Fames Slim Card Base

Birches Slim Stencil Card

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with the Birches Slim Stencil Card (available in the Silhouette Store here) embellished with some of the stamps in Suzanne Cannon's Leaves stamp set.

The cut file is great - it comes in two pieces so you can use the birch stems as a separate stencil.

I just adhered a piece of cream coloured cardstock to back the birch stencil piece, but you could also cut the birch stencil in another contrasting color for a different look.

The Leaves stamp set is available in the Emerald Creek online store here.  It's a great set with a couple of lovely quotes and four different leaves.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting, Connie

Watercolored Autumn Filled Mandala Pumpkin Card

Hello! Kim here today! We are just days away from officially moving from summer to autumn, but here in Alberta there is no denying the seasons are switching! I have a bit of a love affair with all things autumn, and have been secretly celebrating it’s arrival! Today’s project share does just that!

The instant I saw this new Autumn Mandala Filled Pumpkin cutfile, I knew it was going to be a favourite! I loved the intricate design!

I uploaded the file into my Cricut Design Space and resized to a height of six inches. I wanted to make a 5x7 card, but was worried the fine lines would be a challenge to cut. I considered a few options of substrate from paper, vinyl and also cardstock with double sided adhesive attached. I decide on Cricut’s adhesive foil, and so glad I did. It cut beautifully and kept all the fine lines intact and well...it’s shiny!

Next I carefully ‘weeded’ out the negative space of the design, using transfer paper, I easily applied the image onto a piece of watercolour paper.

I was excited to add colour to my mandala. I had purchased a set of handmade water colours last year in Kauai and they always make me smile. They are luscious and lovely to paint with! I sprayed some water on my project to allow the colours to flow as I applied them! I am not concerned about perfection with the process, it’s the variations and imperfections that make watercolour magical!

My sentiment is an older, discontinued Quietfire stamp that I felt suited the card perfectly. Honestly there are so many sentiments that could be used if this one is not in your stash already!

Thanks for checking into the Quietfire Digital Blog today, be sure to scroll through past projects for more amazing inspiration! The design team has lots of sweet ideas up their sleeves!

Supplies:

Forest Stencil Card

Hello, digital crafting friends!

Isn´t time flying by? Not too long and Christmas will be just around the corner. Here is a Christmas card.

Materials I used:
white and blue cardstock
rhinestones
green, dark blue and light blue ink
transparency paper

First of all, you have to cut the forest stencil from the transparency paper. You can also use normal paper, but I wanted to keep the stencil for, later on, that´s why I used transparency paper.

on the mat

all cut
the stencil

and the negative

coloring the forest stencil with blue ink (I used some tape to hold the stencil in place)

The finished card. Now add any extras you want. I added some silver rhinestones, to get the impression of snowfall.

And here´s the card I made using the negative cut. Which one do you like better?

Thanks for stopping by. Have a happy day!
