A Tree Ate My House....

As some of you may know, our beloved Design Team Leader Robyn Josephs was caught up in the disaster that was Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.  Robyn says she was enjoying the storm until the tree…..  She says she was prepared and alone when it happened but wasn't ready for 20" of rain, 100 mph winds and no where to go. There was no electricity, water, phone, internet and if you called 911 they hung up. Sounds terrifying to me!

She says that whatever you saw on the news, it was worse.

Needless to say, she has lost a lot, is suffering acute trauma and will not be returning to her home in the near future.  She's not sure yet whether her home will be a repair or a complete rebuild. Although FEMA is helping her out, she is staying with family at this time.

Right now she has no extra space for art supplies, but if you have a moment to send her a few words of support, I know it would mean a lot to her.

I’m starting a box with Robyn’s name on it and filling it with arty supply things that might be useful to her.  I will send it later when she's settled for a while.  We can all guess she has no paper left, pens may not work and I'm betting her Cameo is toast….  I hope her Quietfire dies and stamps survived Helene because they are scare commodities!

If you’re friends with Robyn on Facebook you might send her a message there, or you can leave a comment below to let her know we’re thinking about her.

Big hugs to you Robyn!
