DIY Washi Tape

Hello, crafty friends!

I recently saw an easy method to make your own washi tapes. All you need is a motive (printed on paper), water, and masking tape (clear).

I used several QFD Fonds - there are so many it is really hard to choose.

Print out your text or picture and put masking tape over it.

Then you put it into the water and wait a few minutes to soak.
Okay, first remove the cat from the water :-)

Take the tape out of the water and gently rub off the paper with your fingers. The ink sticks to the tape.

Wait for the tape to try - it becomes sticky again. Now you can use it anywhere you want.

Here are two examples:

Paper clips

Hello, everyone!

Here is a fun way to pop up your paper clips. Simply use some washi tape on it. Suzanne has designed many different washi tapes. I picked the ones with snowmen.

This is really simple. You open the file and let the machine do the rest (print and cut). Then you just wrap the washi tape around the paper clip and trim it to whatever size you need.

I did a couple, it was so much fun.

Hope you have a happy and crafty week!

This week at Silhouette! May 3 2021

 Here is what's new!

I had a request for mermaids...  For a young girl.  So no sexy mermaids!  A designer need to know these things!  So I put on my super cute hat and it was tough, but I thinks she's pretty sweet. (At one stage she looked like Medusa as I tried to get hair waving in the sea....)  Although she looks the same in every format, there are quite a few differences for each structure or printable.  I think you could cover a lot of the party favours with this collection!

The print and cut calendar for this month is available with a dandelion quote - some of you will recognize it from the Garden Delight stamp set.  Fun to see it come to life again!

And of course I thought Mother's Day was the weekend after this, so I stayed up to work some long hours (post-mermaid!) and created the flowery Gift Card Box and side step hummingbird card.

All these designs are available on my Silhouette page: http://bit.ly/2oAR9e6 *

Happy creating!  Suzanne
